Korean Language Minor

The Korean Program at GW offers undergraduates a minor in Korean Language and Literature. A full course listing is available on the GW Bulletin.

Requirements for the Minor:

  1. General requirements of the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences.
  2. Prerequisite courses: KOR 1001-2, KOR 2003-4.
  3. Additional required courses: KOR 3105-6, plus 12 additional credit hours of 3000-level or above Korean courses.

Department Approval: After completing the minor application form, students may bring the form to be approved to Rome Hall 469, Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures (EALL). Typically, the form can be picked up within a week.

Profile: Please fill out the Minor Profile Form as soon as you have declared your minor.

Study Abroad Program: Students are encouraged to participate in a study abroad program to further their language skills. GW offers several different undergraduate exchange opportunities in Korea.

Placement Exam: If you are not a beginner, you can take the placement exam.
