2018-2019 Recipient

Grace Kim is a first-year MA student in the Elliott school of International Affairs concentrating in Asian Studies. She studied History and Government at the University of Texas at Austin and focuses her current academic research on Korean history and U.S. – South Korea relations. She had recently co-authored an article on Sungkyun Journal of East Asian Studies (vol. 18 no. 2, 2018, pp. 225-244.)

 

2017-2018 Recipient

Kylan Toohey is a first-year MA student in the Elliott School of International Affairs concentrating in Asian Studies. She studied International Studies and Korean language at the University of Mississippi, and enrolled at the Elliott School immediately after graduation in May 2017. She spent her junior year of undergrad abroad at Korea University in Seoul, South Korea, and focuses her current academic research on Korean modern history and development.
